Explore the native Ticuna culture and share today’s daily life in the native communities of the Ticuna. Get to know the Amazonian rainforest, the dolphins and a lot more – Accommodation in bed with mosquito net and in hammock with mosquito net
Day 1 – Arrival and entrance in the Reserva Natural Tucuchira
- Reception at the airport or the place of arrival
- Transfer fluvial in public boat to the Reserva Natural Tucuchira
- Arrival and installation at the Reserva Natural Tucuchira
- Information about the plan
- Lunch at Tucuchira or in Leticia (depending on the time of arrival)
- Exploring the area around the reserva

Day 2 – Camping in the jungle
- 08:30 a.m. Breakfast
- 10:00 a.m. Entrance into the jungle for one day and one night
- We will walk through primary jungle
- You’ll be accompanied by native guides showing you their knowledge of survival in the jungle
- Lunch in the jungle
- You’ll learn how to make a refuge of natural materials
- Rest and bath in a small jungle river
- Traditional fishing
- We will look for a place to spend the night in hammock with mosquito net
- Dinner
- Nocturnal walking tour
- Night of stories, myths and legends of the native guides
Day 3 – Amazonian Nature
- 07:00 a.m. Return to Tucuchira
- Breakfast in Tucuchira
- Rest in hammock or relaxing net
- Workshop of traditional used plants, for example the native fabric, yanachama
- Lunch in Tucuchira
- Visit of an indigenous agriculture to get to know the regional and traditional food and fruits
- Dinner
- Nocturnal canoe tour
Day 4 – Bird and dolphin watching
- 05:00 a.m. Departure to watch birds in typical canoe
- Watching birds and exploring the floodable jungle with possibilities to see sloths in their natural habitat
- 09:00 a.m. Breakfast at Tucuchira
- Rest in hammock or relaxing net
- Feeding a species of monkeys coming to the reserva
- Lunch at Tucuchira
- 02:30 p.m. Departure to the Amazon river
- Watching river dolphins
- Sunset at the Amazon (depending on weather)
- Dinner
- Story night of the native guides
Day 5 – Living one day in a native family
- 08:00 a.m. Breakfast
- 09:00 a.m. Visiting a native community to spend the day and night there
- You’ll live the day with a native family
- Cultural exchange
- You’ll get to know the daily live of a native family
- Lunch preparation
- 01:00 p.m. Lunch with the native family
- Handcraft and painting workshop
- Natural temporal tattoos
- 06:00 p.m. Dinner in the native community
- Talk with an indigenous leader of the community in the maloca, the traditional house
- You spend the night in hammock with mosquito net in the maloca of the community
Day 6 – Departure from the native community
- 06:30 a.m. Breakfast at the native community
- 07:00 a.m. Departure from the native community
- 08:00 a.m. Transfer fluvial in public boat to Leticia (optional at 11:00 a.m.)
The tour includes:
- Accommodation in bed with mosquito net in Tucuchira (3 nights), jungle camping in hammock with mosquito net (1 night) and in a native maloca in hammock with mosquito net (1 night) with breakfast, lunch and dinner
- Activities described in the tour

- All fluvial transports in public boat (from and to Leticia, last boat leaves at 1:30 p.m., until 3:00 p.m. transport in private boat possible with different cost)

The tour does NOT include:
- Translator (it’s possible to organise tours with translator in English)
- Tourism tax ($ 35.000 COP at the airport of Leticia)
- Personal shopping
- Airline tickets
- Activities and nutrition not described in the plan
